A magical mystery tour of the mystical realm of mathematics and its application beyond science.

Human beings tend to be demandingly curious always wanting to know when, where, why and how, yet they also tend to be not only math-phobic but also suffer from a good deal of as math-mythologist Renna Shesso puts it, “Post-Traumatic Math Disorder” that has fast become a “collective malaise!” Yet math has been with us from time immemorial - from the very first curious souls who attached patterns to Nature and assigned mathematical skills to gods and goddesses. Much of what we know we know of mathematics comes to us from the early astronomer magi who needed to be able to describe and record what they saw in the night sky. Math was absolutely essential in daily life whether you were a court astrologer making calculations or a farmer noting the best time for planting and cycles … AND … there were certainly consequences for ignoring the quantitive power of numbers in times past:
Our predecessors aim was largely metaphysical yet in time the metaphysical world and the practical world would overlap.
Every culture on earth has developed some form of mathematics. In some cases mathematics spread from one culture to another. Currently, there is one predominant international mathematics, and it has quite a history. It has roots in ancient Egypt and Babylonia continuing to grow rapidly in Ancient Greece. Mathematics written in Ancient Greek was translated into Arabic. About the same time some mathematics of India was translated into Arabic. Later some of this mathematics was translated into Latin and became the mathematics of Western Europe. Over a period of several hundred years, it finally became the mathematics of the world. The most significant development in mathematics was giving it firm logical foundations. This took place in ancient Greece in the centuries preceding Euclid. Logical foundations give mathematics more than just certainty-they are a tool to investigate the unknown.
Mathematics is the study of quantity, space, structure and change. It is everywhere in nature. According to Wikipedia: “… it has become customary to view mathematical research as establishing truth by rigorous deduction from approximately chosen axioms and definitions. When those mathematical structures are good models of real phenomena, then mathematical reasoning often provides insight or predictions.” It is commonly known that numbers don’t lie yet they can be highly enigmatic…
These cards list ages 1-60. If you chose all the cards with your current age on them and then add all the numbers in the top right hand corner of each card that applies it will reveal your current age. For example, if you are twenty years old you would have chosen cards “B” and “E” as they are the only two cards that have a “20” on them. Card “B” has the number 4 in the top right hand corner and card “E” has the number 16 in the top right corner. 4 + 16 + 20. The numbers did not lie! Did you?
Look at this image and count the people. Wait for the image to change and count again. Are you sure you counted correctly? The numbers don’t lie (but your perception does)!

Esoteric Calendar systems count time in many different units.
I think I may have decoded at least part of the Western/Hebrew Calendar Counts. Keep in mind of the Hermetic belief of As Above So Below. It is not so much about what will transpire naturally in the next Month. It is more about the actions that may be taken, by those who use this system.
July 4, 1776 to December 21, 2012 =
86,367 days. 86367 + 33 = 86400. If 86400 seconds = 1 Day, they maybe 86400 days is another significant unit of time.
864000 is diameter of the Sun/Son. 864 is a solar number.
864000/33.33333333333 = 25920 years is Plato’s Great Year
Dec 21, 2012 + 33 days is January 23, 2013. That is 3 days into the sign of Aquarius.
86400 days is 236.55 years. 13 Baktuns = 5125.25 years of 365.25 days and 5200 years of 360 days. 5 of these periods make 25626.26 and 26000 years. 25626.25/236.55= 108.3333333. 26000/24 hrs =1083.3333333333. 25920/24 =1080(radius of the moon).
July 4, 1776 was a transformative moment as was September 11, 2001
From Sept 11, 2001 to Feb 8, 2013 = 4166.66666 days plus or minus.
.04166666 days is = 1 hour
4,166.66666 days = 100,000 hours = 6,000,000 Minutes = 360,000,000 Sec
4,166.6666 days = 108,000,000 Hebrew Calendar parts, 1080 is 1/24 of 25,920.years of plato's great year.
4166 days is 11.4 years, which is the length of the Solar Cycle.
Solar Cycle 24 is set to end in the next few months. The 24 hour ends the day
.
86400/4166.666666666 = 20.736
20736 + 5184 = 25920
Jan 19 2013 Mercury 00° Aquarius Conjunct Aquarius 00° Aquarius
Jan 19 2013 Sun 00° Aquarius Conjunct Aquarius 00° Aquarius
Mercury the messenger god Conjuncts with Aquarius as the Sun Rises in Aquarius. Mercury is Hermes also known as Thoth of the Emerald Tablets. The Messanger Heralds the Sun of the New Age.
Feb 1 2013 Mars 00° Pisces Conjunct Pisces 00° Pisces. Mars is the god of War. Mars is bidding farewell to the old age of Pisces and hopefully to war itself.
Feb 1 2013 Venus 00° Aquarius Conjunct Aquarius 00° Aquarius
February 1, is a very interesting date. Mars the god of War Conjuncts with the out going Age of Pisces, at the same time Venus, the goddess of love and illumination conjuncts with Aquarius.
Feb 6 2013 Mercury 02° Pisces Conjunct Neptune 02° Pisces
Feb 7 2013 Venus 06° Aquarius Trine Jupiter 06° Gemini
Feb 8 2013 Mercury 05° Pisces Conjunct Mars 05° Pisces
Then Mercury moves into the Outgoing Age. Then Mars Joins Mercury in Pisces. It seems that Feb 8 is the end of this ceremony in the Sky.
I found the key I was looking for -- why the 8x8 = 64 Hexagrams DNA is meant to expand to 72....I found a whole lot of info but through the backdoor found what I hoped I would find.
I feel so blessed that my intuition led me to the answers. Ask and ye shall receive.
It also adds to my research on Cygnus and Avebury two highly underrated significances in further understanding cosmology.

I continue to be in awe of you Sky! Do you have any info on the number 72? It is its own wholeness....as I have discovered....I am collecting data to support a theory I have about why 64 (I Ching, DNA etc) has to move into the energy of 72....thanks if you or anyone reading this has any information. Thank you.
Very nice work on relating Pythagoras (Sum of Squares) to the Magic Squares, with the planetary seals.
I don't think numbers can have a sinister connotation for me. I like the number 13 and use it for lottery tickets. Numbers via geometry are the language of creation. There are people who let numbers mean something negative to them. I guess that, if the general public believes a number to have some negative power, then this could be used as a trigger to cause the public to manifest negativity, which might be beneficial form the perspective of an Hegelian Wizard.
Hi Sky...My view is that anything the divine creates is positive - and this is the expansion energy that we are comprised of (the Universe/s).
So this then is true with numbers which are the vibration of the light of music. As we live in a free will universe we can choose to twist this sacred energy that reflects in numbers - how we use our time...sign credit card or mortgage forms we cannot afford. Is is CHOICE. And since our name is numerical....ahhh.....we twist "it" and its integrity too when we lend our name our essence that does not serve Justice for all.
As we know any energy can be twisted...some believe the pentagram that signifies the five elements to be negative some positive. These are the elements of creation and it is our beliefs that determine how we use these to create our reality. Creators of Dominion or Domination.
Every energy can be twisted. I think historical/ hysterical connotations that are negatively attributed to numbers like 13 (the number of change and so much more that is +) and 666, etc....can cause fear with those that have not learned discernment. That is the purpose.
This fear lessens the strength of the vibration power of these numbers.
Please note: There is a whole school of thought about gematria for instance....that this is circular and its purpose is to drive you crazy.People assign all kinds of JUDGMENTS...well this must be good as it is a 9 ....and not as it is not a 9....this is the EGO trap!~!
Names or phrases when using gematria can turn out to be negative according to that system and one's giving power away to it when the only thing in the Universe that creates negativity is our mind.....i.,e, the choices and beliefs we make when we do not drop others interpretation and rules.
A far more accurate interpretation and narrative(!) of letters and number is using the Major Arcana of the Tarot and the Runes, or plain numerology in my view. This has opened door after door in my "seeing things with new eyes" . When something is heavy in my body - it is not truth....when it is light...it is....our bodies are comprised of numbers and music and vibrations that are PHI. We are meant to reflect this balance.
Dominion is Respect...of all using the 666 as the energy it is of the 18 the Moon...and all that that means in in its exaltation.
Nancy
in the example of 1-36. Half of 36 is 18. 36 + 1 = 37. 18 x 37 = 666.
This was the first interesting number set that I have found. Not long after this, I heard about the total angles in the surfaces of the Platonic solids. The Iscosahedron with its 20 sides of triangles had a total of 3600 degrees of angle in it sides. This reminded me of 1-36 = 666, so, I added 1-3600 = 6481800. This blew my mind. I knew that 6480 was the number of degrees in the surface of the Dodecahedron and the first 4 numbers of 6481800 was close. I then did what seems natural, I added 1-36000 = 648018000. The first 4 number now were the total of the dodecahedron and 1/4 of 25920, Platos Great Year. I then devided the 6480 by 18 =360. At this point I knew I had discovered something significant, so I preceded to do the same thing with all of the platonic solids. The tetrahedron had 720 degrees. The cube had 2160. The octahedron had 1440. Icosahedron and dodeca had 3600 and 6480 respectively. Some of the results are below. In the case of the tetrahedron we end up with the first 5 numbers being 25920 or the number of years in Platos Great Year. Ine the case of the cube, we get 23328108000. At first glance we notice 233 is Finonacchi, but is there more? 25920 x 1.11111111=23328 or first 5 numbers, but what about the 108 part. 23328 divided by 108 = 216 and 2160 is a zodiac age and number of degrees in a cube...
otal Degrees | 720 | 1440 | 2160 | 3600 | 6480 |

Thank you Will, for this information about 1 thru 36 = 666 ! Yes I have done some lengthy research into the Magic Square of the Sun based on 36 and found that it does add to 666 or 18 number of the moon or 9 number of thee Source field!! Oh on second thought.....while I did find 666 in adding the 111 - I did not know if you added 1 thru 36 you get 666 - wow....I am really grateful - this will further support an assumption I have made. I will give you footnote space!
Know any more about 8's from what I have posted and Sky?
Can you give me an example of the formula you offered below...I would appreciate it...thanks for the info....
Swan
Number sets are a sequence of numbers. 1-36 is a number set. The total of all numbers from 1 to 36 = 666. 36 is the basis of a circle in degrees.
To add a number set of 1 to X use the following formula, (1/2 times X) times (x plus 1). have fun.
Would like to comment on the youtube posting above on number 23.
There is more of course but thought I would add some of my knowings. 23 for me is hardly sinister but most definitely the energy that is beyond the Fool (22) of the Tarot. We live in an expanding Universe and there are more archetypes beyond the Fool - 23 holds the energy of dominion and grace. It is high expansion energy.
