Twisted history made Icarus out to be foolish when he was a true Fool!

Akhenaten’s Realized Dream: Ode to the Sun

The Truer Tale of Icarus: A Horus

A Story of Ego Transfiguration

Icarus, you no partridge in a Handless Maiden’s Pear Tree

Blind, they misstated significances, symbols and paradoxes.

Wax wings of bravado, feathers of pretension, glues of fear

Mazes of guilt, shame, blame, greed gratefully burned off!

Your Hero’s heart journeyed beyond conditioned imagination

Mastery of will transcended ego’s black terror of annihilation.

Choosing death by Illumination you flew into the Orange

A Fool, no longer foolish, fulfilled Hope’s design of Grace

Instinct abounding with the Transfiguration of Humility

Mind/Senses Heart Awake Mercury’s wings at your heels

You merged with Sea/Source emerging as Pan: One-eyed

A tribute to All That IS the Colors of the Music of Nature

Pentagram Hands, Isis/Osiris unveiled, Holy Water quenched,

A Horus, One who comes on Wings of Light, a Bird of Pray.

*

No distance makes you ambivalent

You come on wings, enchanted

In such hunger for light, you

Become the butterfly burnt to nothing.

Goeth: Blessed Longing

 Birds make great sky-circles

of their freedom

How do they learn it?

They fall, and falling

They’re given wings.

Rumi

This is love: to fly toward a secret sky,

to cause a hundred veils to fall each moment.

First to let go of life.

Finally, to take a step without feet.
Rumi

Akhenaten followed the Path of the Hand and the Sun God RA

Mythology relates the story of Icarus: Daedalus was imprisoned to keep the creation of the maze a secret where the beast, the Minataur, was held. Daedalus is often mistaken for creating the first labyrinth. The maze has no way out, the labyrinth does.

Anyway, Daedalus had enough of prison and fashioned two pairs of wings out of wax and feathers for himself and his son, Icarus, to escape. Daedalus warns his son not to fly too close to the sun, nor too close to the sea, but to follow him. (Me: Science calls this Epigentics: don’t soar don’t sail….).

Icarus soared through the sky curiously, (Me: Curiosity opens Genius/Source) and he came  close to the sun, which melted the wax.  Icarus fell into the sea which bears his name, the Icarian Sea. (Why would one name a Sea after a failure?)

*Authors note: To me Icarus is an ages old transmutation story of the Heiros Gamos, the sacred marriage of the masculine and feminine, the Lover’s of the Tarot, to produce the third entity: RESPECT some call Pan, the instinct of our sovereign Nature. One must make the descent to transform and leave this world of consensus fear to merge with the Sea of Unconditional Love. We are then transfigured in to the Ocean of Oneness.

“Let Thine Eyes be Single.” (Jesus. The Gospel of Thomas)

*Mer-man of the Sea/See: Head and Body of a Man – Tail of a Fish. One who swims well. (Webster) Is a gentle-man., chivalrous, gracious with a strong sense of honor.  One who is influenced by Mercury, a Messenger of the gods, a god of Commerce: the inspiration our egos are meant to be.

Today, May 20 the Sun is going into an eclipse. It will align with the Moon and the Earth - thus fulfilling the covenants of the ages....in this day and Age of Aquarius. In my tradition of Sirius there has to be a pause - for change to emerge. This is the day the new Mayan calendar starts.

Today is the enactment celestially of the story of Isis, Osiris and Horus and all of our stories individually and collectively.

Thank you for being an anchor.....when two or more are gathered. I love you and bless you on the day of the Sun....Sun Day, May 20, 2012!
