The aim of freemasonry was from ancient times the preservation of the high knowledge of the initates.Freemasonry in Egypt was a system that was accepting only them who had self discipline and strength of character, the priests in the Egyptian temples were usually hiding the knowledge from the eyes of men that were not prepared to see their real spiritual self. So from Egyptian times freemasonry was a society for fiew people and always of noble genealogy

i believe this sums it up nicely. source is this page: http://www.jjcrowder743.com/poem.html

M - When he can look out over the rivers, the hills, and the far horizon with a profound sense of his own littleness in the vast scheme of things, and yet have faith, hope and courage--which is the root of every virtue.
A - When he knows tat down in his heart every man is as noble as himself, and seeks to know, to forgive, and to love his fellowmen.
S - When he knows how to sympathize with men in their sorrows, yea, even in their sins--knowing that each man fights a hard fight against many odds.
T - When he has learned how to make friends and to keep them, and above all how to keep friends with himself.
E - When he loves flowers, can hunt the birds without a gun, and feels the thrill of an old forgotten joy when he hears the laugh of a little child.
R - When he can be happy and high minded amid the meaner drudgeries of life.
: When star-crowned trees, and the glint of sunlight on flowing waters, subdue him like the thought of one much loved and long dead.
M - When no voice of distress reaches his ears in vain, and no hand seeks his aid without response.
A - When he finds good in every faith that helps any man to lay hold of divine things and sees majestic meanings in life, whatever the name of that faith may be.
S - When he can look into a wayside puddle and see something beyond sin.
O - When he knows how to pray how to love how to hope.
N - When he has kept faith with himself, with his fellowman, with his God; in his hand a sword for evil, in his heart a bit of song--glad to live, but not afraid to die! Such a man has found the only real secret of Masonry, and the one which it is trying to give all the world."

There are Freemasons who say Freemasonry is as old as Adam. For more objective interpretations, historians base their views on precise data. When the first Grand Lodge in the world was constituted in London on 1717 is when modern history of the origins of Freemasonry begins. So we face two scenarios, the written documented history of Freemasonry and the unwritten, undocumented, “mouth to ear” taught story of Freemasonry

I am very grateful with Albert Pike because he took an enormous and intense research, review and rewriting of all the Rituals for the thirty degrees of the Scottish Rite, including the first three degrees of the Blue Lodge, the Symbolic Lodge. They are beautifully arranged so that the Initiate can receive the Philosophic and Symbolic teachings contained in each one of them, all with the intention to be applied on every day’s life.

Morals and Dogma the Magnus Opus of Pike is full of intense, historic, archeological, philosophic, symbolic descriptions of the teachings in each degree. Maybe until now days it could be the most valued reference book on the interpretation of the Rituals.

Hello Brothers and Sisters of the path..

I would like to manifest my thoughts in relation to if Freemasonry is a RHP or LHP organization.

In my own personal opinion, I can’t speak in behalf of the Order or in other mason’s names, definitely Freemasonry is a Right Hand Path Order, and in many places has become another Lions Club International or Rotary International Club.. Today’s Freemasonry is far away from Magic and esoteric circles. It is not, by no means in my personal opinion, a Spiritual Path, it’s more of an Intellectual Path, nothing to do with Spiritus. Freemasonry has involving itself more on politics, social activities, and such. I am a thirty third degree Scottish Rite Mason and a Shriner, I like Freemasonry. But when it comes to the occult matters, that is another story. It’s not here where one can go inside these studies. Freemasonry has very deep roots in Judeo-Christian origins, and so all the Rituals are deeply impregnated with Judeo-Christian ideology and philosophy, the esoteric aspect mostly shown is very mild. Maybe Kabbalah is the most referred esoteric issue mentioned. The first thing that is asked to the candidate is if he believes in a Superior Power of the Universe, not specifically God, but something more or less alike. Obviously the expected answer is yes (I believe in God). At this moment not even the words Great Architect of the Universe are mentioned.
In other forums I have asked what if the candidate said he was an Atheist, what if that GAOTU is Money, is Power, is Sex, is Science, is Culture, is knowledge…what if it is Satan, Lucifer, Azazel..etc. ?? The answers where he wouldn’t be admitted, only God would be the allowed answer..and such..

When one talks about Satanism or Magical Rituals there are more brothers who lift their eyebrow and leave the discussion, than those who stay to tell their opinions.

In conclusion, one of the most relevant aspects of Freemasonry that makes it a RHP organization is its Judeo-Christian origin and the more political profile it has developed.
