DRAGONS! ~ Additional Pages >right>

Far away in the twilight time

Of every people, in every clime,

Dragons and griffins and monsters dire,

Born of water, and air, and fire,

Or nursed, like the Python, in the mud

And ooze of the old Deucalion flood,

Crawl and wriggle and foam with rage,

Through dusk tradition and ballad age.

John Greenleaf Whittier in “The Double Headed Snake of Newbury

For millennia, few creatures have fascinated mankind, enticed imagination,  or become embedded in human consciousness more than the dragon. These magnificent beasts and their relatives have been found in every eco-system on the planet from the mountains of Greece to the forests of northern Europe to the volcanic planes of Mesoamerica to the valleys of China. The noble dragon can no longer be delegated to the world of fiction made into a cheap joke and visual cliché by cartoonists and animators for he is a part of worldwide culture and spiritual beliefs that sustain his glory and meaning.

Let’s delve into the symbolic, sociologic and even geographic significance of Dragons. Do tread lightly and be respectful …

Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary describes a dragon as, “an imaginary animal usually pictured as a huge serpent or lizard with wings and large claws.” Some of the historic names for Dragons are Wyvern, Lung, Lindworm, Knucker, and of course Western Dragon.

The Lung is the dragon of china. It was said to be able to fly although it is described as not having wings but rather a long serpent like body with scales, four or five toes, a feathery tail and long whisker like feelers around its head. The Lung had the capacity to shape shift into many different guises including human but its favorite from was that of a large Gold Fish or Carp and this may be why Coy ponds were thought to be spiritual places for enlightenment. It is believed that the Lung taught the Chinese how to write and many legends describe how the Lung shared their wisdom and power with the worthy.

The Lindworm or any of the worm dragons are the most associated with a family curse. They are described as being long like a snake some having two legs, aquatic by nature and belligerent by temperament. The Lambton Worm legend dated 1420 is said to have occurred in Durham England and is still talked about today in that community (read about the Lambton Worm in the Dragon Lore section). Knuckers are similar to Worms but have four legs and vestigial wings.

The most viewed dragon in modern films and literature is the Western Dragon. This dragon has been depicted as good or evil. It has four legs and wings and breathes fire. Historical accounts of this type of Dragon hold many of the modern descriptions except that none of the Western Dragons of olden times were good by nature and most were slain by the hero of the stories. These Dragons varied in type and color by the region in which they dwelled. The Frost Dragon would breathe a freezing wind that would instantly freeze its prey. In some cases the breath contained poisons gas or acid.

Do you have a belief in Dragons, not in the way they were depicted in Western Literature but more in the way of the East? Is a Dragon  a dweller of a realm that very few of us will ever see again due to our lack of awe at the beauty and mystery of the world? Are they spiritual guides and keepers of the knowledge that we with our 'science' have lost the right to acquire?

Do you have a personal spiritual Dragon that helps guide you sometimes and dwells within you ready to lend his courage and wisdom to you in a time of need? Keep the flame of the Dragon as a light to see into the darkness and remember that there are always more than one side to every coin and every situation. Your dragon is a treasure so keep it close to your heart and it will guard you well.

Last of all, if you find yourself in an evil Dragon’s territory I remember that you might taste mighty good with ketchup to him!

There are other Dragon Types that represent combined species. Here are some of them …

Hahahaha I am friends with Marks wife Andrea who I just went to Egypt with, and know that he is excellent with Astrology, and has written quite a few books on esoteric matters. He is a wealth of information.  You can friend him or Andrea on fb and they are both interactive there if you want to ask any questions.  Mark Amaru Pinkham

Gosh Sun nothing to be patient about, and maybe you is still travel weary as no way could you be described in such pejorative terms *smiles*

That you work in mysterious ways and forget what you were moved to do later, yes and we all have our dim moments, you is sounding rather hard on yourself though, hugs x

I did wonder if you was away as you are usually the first to acknowledge. The email I forwarded had two long video links and I missed the mellower one at first as the longest one, the psi ops whistle blower interviewed by Kerry of Camelot was soo long and intense though I thought the 2012 part worth it (I did look for it in latest vids here about the time I sent it in case you had posted it) and then I saw the other one in the same email

David Wilcox 2012 enigma which is a much lighter touch on the subject at least by contrast though it got stuck 1/2 way so I do not know all it goes on about and it did look rather like a merkaba at the beginning so needs some descerning.

Re I said I did not trust everything about the sender Richard, I think I found a link to paintings of ascended masters connected with them   including he known as S, no needs I speak his name, which is one reason why i went off him and Caroline, that and that it seemed to get into a spiritual name dropping 'tonight we have Elvis popping in'

I was emotionally involved at first as they showed pictures of the places we met up in Galilee which had a strong effect on me.

Jeshua and Mary in Atlantis I found interesting and very plausible though had no emotional memory of, so was not effected by that.

Mark is on the coast to coast Dragon mysteries I'll email you about that as I was being a bit cryptic for privacy reasons so no wonder you did not know my reference, it is a few posts down. lovely to hear from you xxx

Sun long time has been passing missed you too.

I was wondering if you are a friend of Mark's I missed his show and have not found it yet perhaps it takes a while for them to put it up.

Hope you liked something in the two movies I sent though first one was quite dark the other was much lighter, I may try link them in 2012 group at some point though you are welcome to post them meanwhile if you think they are of worth.

Still very busy, glad when I get free of my work load and have time to reconnect with my kindred

Ah wonderful Nancy, a fellow waterdragon to muse about our intuits of this very special year with.  A friend from Atlantis used a term 'multi channi' many, many, moons ago, which fit perfectly with my intuit of these times and what a psi ops whistle blower has said.

It is SEEN to be a time when all probabilities converge and the light of truth be revealed so the dark lies of the controllers will have no more power.

I have seen it as a multi dimensional crossroads, wonderful potentials, whilst the blues song about the devil at the crossroads is also apt.

A time to chose wisely, for we will not join such a crossroads again for millennia if ever.

I had a past vision of how a waterdragon travels through time,

come very alive again a few days back,

I drew it decades ago and it holds deep insights of our consciousness, as light moving through a tunnel in time and space that it creates before it from the beams of light vision from it's eyes.

As it moves through the rich darkness of outer, it sheds seedling droplets of light and it's third eye is like a beacon that lights the way ahead.  It's scales are like crystal windows on cameos of our gathered experiences along the way, it's tail reaches back in a spiral for vast aeons, yet it's centre is pure light still and timeless.

I would love to hear of your intuits

Dar Lotuslakedawn said that it is the year of Water Dragon!! It is my year! I had a celebration last night in my home -It is the year of the 12! Powerful creative and prosperous for those that steer their own Wheel of Fortune! Wishing all prosperity in every area of your life and many blessings!

Gong Xi Fa Cai! That's the traditional Chinese New
Year greeting that means "wishing you prosperity" in Mandarin.

The first day of the Chinese New Year - which had began at
midnight on January 23, 2012 - is the most important of Chinese
holidays, celebrated by billions in China, and by millions of
ethnic Chinese around the world

The Chinese will pay visits to relatives and friends' houses as
part of the tradition, and also to catch up on old times. The
elders will give out 'ang baos' aka red packets to the youths/
juniors as a symbol of giving blessings to them.
