yes i can only imagine it does seem like a lot of work, yet very rewarding.
The Wigwam was far harder to construct and much more time consuming. The bark was procured to late in the season, and was hard to remove the proper layer evenly. It was stitched together with an awl and poles placed on the seams that prevented curling and tears as the bark dried. The drum was found in the woods and worked into the example that you see.
