neophyte strikes again

Posted on December 28, 2010 at 4:05pm 3 Comments

I've been thinking about starting a group here to discuss aspects of the theosophy of Jacob Boeme, not because I'm any great expert, quite the opposite really, more because I find his work some of the most challenging I've ever come across and would really like to spur conversation on it. Hopefully more tutored people would join and I might learn some things. I thought it would be a good idea to put this out here first though and see what folks think about there being a group of this sort.

question from a neophyte

I was looking through Godwin's Cabalistic Encyclopaedia last night and got to wondering what the differences are between Jewish and Hermetic Kabbalah, I mean other than ethnicity.

Can anyone enlighten me?

Thank you for your interest! If you would like to set up a time for some real time discussion let me know. I would actually like to invite anyone else to join us that you would like to invite. I will give you a synopsis of its practical relevance as well as some of its historical merits.

If you wish to read commentaries on Qabalah then the Frank book on Kabbalah is one of the best. There are numerous Kabbalah study text and videos for free here...

However, if you have already begun your studies (Hebrew Letters and Sefer Yetzirah) and wish to be put on the proper path, buy this book. Everything else is a second hand source...

Thank you.

The site is very nice. Next week I'll be able to dedicate more time on the site. My sister is leaving saturday, so sunday will be a day of rest and then I'm ready to rumble again.

You were celebrating Thanksgiving if I'm not mistaken. All went well I gather?
This is a good time to add my Happy Belated Thanksgiving, I guess. May the good Father bless your home with abundance and prosperity.
