"I have this internal notion which has to be straightened out. I came across new age/esoteric subjects/ occult/mysticism when I was an adolescent and I feel from time to time a conflict saying that this inclination is weird and superstitious how can I overcome this?"
I would say, to overcome this, it would be bet to induce your own experiences for first hand development. The more in depth you go experiential-wise, the more convincing and trusting you'll become of yourself. Trust what you learn from experience alone, not as if I'm saying to not let sources from the outside be help if you must, but trust self above all else, take non-internally experienced things with a grain of salt until YOU feel confident in your own truth.
Defining oneself through guessing and probability, from what is derived from non-experience, is usually the knowledge seeker's first mistake
