Hi Susan, Yes, my husband does carve, and is an amazing artist. What does your husband carve/sculpt? Yousef would like to open a carving school here to teach interested children the art of indigenous carving.
Hi Susan, Sorry for the delay....we've been busy working with tour groups. I am also facsinated by the Sufi mysticism. My husband, Yousef Awyan, son of the late "wisdom keeper", Abd'el Hakim Awyan, and I, share the indigenous teachings of his father with all who seek out us out here in Giza. Would love to meet you on your next visit!
I will hopefully be getting to your lecture, I have recently became very interested in everything esoteric.. Febuary is plenty of notice so it should be all good. I am looking forward to it!!
Thanks for accepting. Yes, I think we do have many interests in common. I'm trying to become more active on here. I've been on here for a while, but rarely comment. I'm sure I should do more asking than commenting! I'm in a season of change, as are many people it seems, in my life these days on many levels: relationship, kids leaving the nest, personal growth, etc. and it is both interesting and sometimes a bit frightening, but I feel optimistic and open to new things. :-)
