A poem that came to me as 2012 began...it seems to sum up my feelings as we embark upon this, our last Historical trip around the sun. Happy New Year to all!

Edge of Epiphany

A Prophet of the Apocalypse

looked out his visionary window,

saw the End of Time,

& felt just fine.

"A New Dawn," he said,

"with a Spiral, not a Line."

Thanks so much everyone for your words of appreciation...this poem pleases me more and more, each time I reread it. Wisa, I agree the Mayan mystery of 2012 is, at the simplest level, just about changing our view of time from 3D linear to 4D fractal.

Nancy, the book Siddhartha has always been huge for me as part of the overall Hesse puzzle. It must be viewed as part of one storyline along with the other major works (Demian, Steppenwolf, Journey to the East, Glass Bead Game). Anyway I'll reply more soon, and now I'll send again the links to my Jung blogs in a pm to you :)

So lovely - thank you. Beautifully said."Let there be Light."

I have been trying to find the link you gave me so I could read the rest of your Jung knowings....I commented on the first but seem to have lost the others. Can you easily duplicate and send to me those links again?

Got so very much from the Siddhartha book again 35 years later! Did  you ever read that one?  On some level or many actually I have been following the "make your own music"  and not by into others talk no matter how good it is about me finding my own that Siddhartha followed.

When I look back I see how my whole life has been so guided - all the little hard and dark places just to explore the contrasts. What a long strange trip this has been -to no longer feel the stranger in the strange land. It is about accepting my humanity so to be spirituality and ultimatley be in the Oneness that is divinity. Many new agers so suppress their humanity - the full range of making all their feelings acceptable. It is called owning the shadow. I love this aspect of me.

So thank you - while you did not reference Siddhartha you did Hesse and I told you how magical it was that that book appeared on my book shelf.
