The importance of developing an "observer" mindset can not be understated if you truely wish to make change.

We are all "addicts".
Addicts to habit. The mind is "programmed" to behave this way.
Conservation of energy.

If you truely want to make an internal change, things as they are, must be accepted.
But before they can even be accepted, they first must be observed.

While illusion will most undoubtly attract more illusion to protect itself, such is the mind, observation must always be applied.

The alchemical process can help in this, but it's still a list of words.
This is process with no subject.

What is lacking from the list, is the materia at hand.
Which is the very thing that has to be understood.

Meditation definitely helps with this, but the practice should not be confined to a plush cushion with flowers and incense around you wearing white robes.

Every event, emotion, reaction, should be watched.
Not analyzed and broken down immediately, but watched.
Slow down time via observance without attachment.
Do analysis later on the cushion.

There's more answers in yourself than any book.
Where do you think books come from anyways?

Chris, the organization I work for provides free Yoga classes once a week on every Thursday, I got a yoga mat from the same like 4 months ago but I have never attended. I will reconsider and try attend the classes, I may learn how to meditate then. Thanks

@Rhoda Wandaka; meditation is a discipline, and must be practiced consistently. Good sources on the subject are Aleister Crowely's eight lectures on yoga (raja yoga that is), and Jason Miller's take back your mind course.

I wanted to learn what magic the meditation brought in human race...I ended up with nothing.

@Rhoda Wandaka; why did you choose to meditate? And for how long, and how many times?

I must admit that as a psychic or someone who is spiritually gifted,I have found meditation to be very difficult for me. I have tried it several times but it never worked. Please advise.
