Occult Fiction-Does anybody here like to read occult fiction?

Does anybody here like to read occult fiction? If so, what do you like to read? Any favorite authors or recommendations?

Here's a list of my all-time Favorite Occult Fiction (not in order of preference, but truly, they are all good!)

1) Der Golem, by Gustav Meyrink

2) The Angel of the West Window, by Gustav Meyrink

3) The Sea Priestess, by Dion Fortune

4) Moon Magic, by Dion Fortune

5) Demian, by Herman Hesse (I think it's occult fiction, what do you think?)

6) Faust, by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

7) Zanoni, by Edward Bulwer Lytton

8) The Secrets of Dr. Taverner, by Dion Fortune

9) The Motion Demon, Stefan Grabinski (short story)

10) Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, JK Rowling ( lol )

Thanks for the suggestions. My kids have already read those. I generally read more adult books (whatever that means) when I read for myself, also a wide variety of topics, both mundane and metaphysical, but the titles I mentioned are things that we have read aloud as a family. We do this for enjoyment, as an altermative to TV.

Thank you for your comment. All of these except for #10 are definitely adult occult fiction of a serious nature, frequently dealing with dark matter, or supernatural phenomena. Good occult fiction for kids: Harry Potter series, JR Tolkien, and CS Lewis' Narnia books. Happy reading!!!

I'll have to make a note of these titles. I have enjoyed reading youth fiction of this genre to my children. Some of our favortites are: The Dark is Rising series by Susan Cooper, The Magician's House Quartet series by William Corlet, The Last Apprentice series by Joseph Delaney, The Box of Delights by John Masefield. Perhaps they aren't what you would define as occult, but they deal with sorcery, magic, alchemy, non-physical reality, etc. as topics and are for young people after all.
