Sacrifice can be painful, but only so in that you are releasing from comfort.
This sense of comfort is derived from familiarity.
It's change at it is core. Releasing a set of habits and environments for something new and different to you.
While the majority of people see this as sacrifice, is it really?
From a Stoic philosophers point of view it is not.
The individual moves from one environment to another. The self ultimately remains the same.
There are influences, but potential of decision and action does not change.
The habits and rituals of everyday are transformed, but they existed before.
And they will occur in the future.
Sacrifice is a loaded word. Its ultimately change.
Keep it simple, don't load words and situations with emotion.
Save that energy for more opportune times based in decision and action.
