What mudras are and how to use them.
Mudras are positions of the body that have some kind of influence on the energies of the body, or your mood. Mostly the hands and fingers are held in some position, but the whole body may be part of the mudra as well.

Thank you this is a very good post with helpful information!
I also use mudras often, especially the last example, when taking long walks. I began doing this spontaneously. I've recently been discovering various hand movements while walking that I feel are related to tai chi chuan and qigong energy work, very subtle energy work, very helpful and balancing.
