Esoteric Online

For the very first time, the community has come together and covered the costs of operations on your own - and not only that, you did it with flying colors! In a period of two days, in between that last times I checked on our account, the community had donated a total of $485 - that's enough for almost 3 months of operations!

This really goes to show how much the community means to all of you, what we can truly accomplish when we pull together as one, and also the level of maturity in understanding what it really takes and what it has taken for me to keep the community and library alive. Wonderful job, I am truly humbled by your efforts.

Proceeding this I have been busy making some significant changes to the transparency and method in which community costs are displayed, all of which now happens automagically.

Just to spotlight a few of them:

  • When the community operations page loads, some code is used to dynamically request the current balance from our Paypal account, and fill in the appropriate fields
  • There is a condition in that code, to check if current donations is equal to or greater to the total monthly costs, and change the color from red to green when it is
  • At the same time, it does a calculation to divide current donations by the monthly costs and determine the number of months our current balance can support, positive or negative

In addition to this, and in response to a comment left in my previous blog, I have further explained our not-for-profit corporation status, along with a link to a PDF version of our incorporation certificate from the state of Kansas - here in the USA. In order to be completely legal, and legitimate in our operations, this was needed when we started Esoteric Online in order to take a step beyond what most communities provide, and really do things right.

Please check out the updated page when convenient, if you don't see the new changes you may need to clear your browser cache. I sincerely hope these efforts provide the type of transparency everyone deserves, and makes everyone feel more at home and comfortable in our operations.

Community Operations

Once again, wonderful job everyone, my heart is so very warmed to know that our community and the evolution it assists in, is as important to you as it's been for me.

Definitely, a big thanks to everyone who contributed. As these eclipse's are passing in these rare events our finances and our whole life could change in a matter of days which will end on May 25 hopefully. As past few weeks were pretty horrify for me a few others i know as well.

The most important is to have faith and support each other when needed and that is truly beautiful what this community has showed.

@Tris good always happens to good people so stay strong and never give up!....Cheers friend and best wishes on your future endeavors!!!

Special thanks to Norma and all the contributors to bring awareness and make this happen.

     In Lak'ech Ala k'in....Infinite Co-Creating Blessings!!!

The attention to transparency is truly remarkable. Kudos.

And thanks to all who donated.

Hey, can we afford to decorate now? I think the library needs some new drapes. The ones up now, while functional, are a tad tacky. Institutional green is so passé and icky.

HOLY MOLY!!! Yay, way to go EO peeps. You guys are awesome! All we each have to do is continue to donate some each month and the site stays up. Yesssss......I am so excited.

Many thanks go out to everyone that donated as they were able. It goes to demonstrate just how much this site and Tris's work means to you and I for one appreciate that. Congratulations Tris on this important feat and your new non-profit corporate status as well. This is an incredible institution that needs to continue to survive for the benefit of its members, both current and future. Thanks for all of your great work!

Well done everyone. Let's keep this up.

You must feel so relieved Tris (and so am I!)

Fantastic day here after the new moon and eclipse - perhaps things are on the up now.
