Freemasonry is a system of allegory and symbol arranged in peculiar fashion to convey a unique message. Some condemn Freemasonry by saying is a religion, when it does act to bring a tradition forward like a religion, but in fact practices no particular faith. The uniting idea is a faith in the divine founded in the certitude in something greater than the self.

A Freemason is a man who, in searching for life’s ineffable questions, finds his way into the company of fellow seekers. Comprised of men from every nation, races, social and economic level, all hold similar ideals and beliefs. The uniting idea is a faith in the divine founded in the certitude in an afterlife. This “belief” is grounded by certain landmark tenants and virtues which ultimately lead in exploration of those invisible questions, and when taught openly and learned in earnest by the initiates, can lead ultimately to the betterment of all mankind.

If this description seems out of place in the cynical world of today, let us remember that “Man does not live by bread alone.”

HIGHLY recommend the Secret History of the world (the same book is published under author names Jonathan black or mark booth for some reason). It details many basic ancient esoteric teachings, much stemming from freemasonry. The author was tutored by a master of an unnamed secret society and he put it all in this book.

I asked a freemason about what they do and he said normaly they are swarm to secrecy and they would murder one another if they told of their secrets. the double headed eagle represents the illuminati control the east and the west. The compass and ruler symbol is supose to mean legs open. The Sun is the father and the Earth is the mother. The sun helped make the Earth fruitful. Even though the 33 degree masons are supopse to be the highest degree, well, they are not told of the other doors that are behind the other doors. There is much more to learn besides 33 degree. The masons only get to know of a small bit of info on esoteric knowledge that is tought in the lodges. How do I know? They don't get tought of the reptilians and the bohemiangrove.

@ Wisa:

Golden Dawn membership, Regardie says, used to have been restricted to Masons of good standing. And the order was founded by 3 Freemasons. So there was clearly a lot of influence from one, put into the other. However, Regardie does not speak of any practices or secrets specifically pertaining to Freemasonry.

But, I would argue that essence of the Golden Dawns teachings essentially pertain to Freemasonry - but only in regards to the true & hidden nature of the order, its doctrine, and its practices. Ex. Kundalini, Hermetic Inner Alchemy etc, basically the the hidden nature of the 'temple building' practices in general. Many Masons would disagree with this. But, many Masons- for example, George H. Steinmetz- would argue that the true secret doctorine of freemasonry is lost and is no longer a living tradition among many lodges.

I would imagine that this was one of the reasons for  the Golden Dawn's establishment in the first place - that these 3 freemasons wanted to create their own order which could carry the essence of the secret doctrine, to keep it alive.

And yes, Manly P. Hall is an excellent author & scholar. His 'Lost Keys of Freemasonry' is written from the perspective of a teacher, directed at Freemason's who are interested in the Secret Doctrine - it comes off a bit preachy at times - suggesting that many of the lodges at the time were dead, and that he was aware of this. Especially considering he wasn't even physically initiated at the time of his writing the book.
