Yes, I saw that page. I don't see library. I want to know just the library. If it's not to high (and within my budget) I would donate that amount so the library never closes down. If I understood correctly, the library fee is seperate from the rest?

So, how much a month is needed to keep the library open? Im talking just the library and not all expenses

I have made a contribution as I could as I know a lot of work has gone into creating this site and as a long time seeker this site is a rarity to find (in my opinion) and in any case much love has been put into it.  Thank you everyone.

Goldenserentiy, would you care to upload some of your 8GB of content into the library as you maybe able to contribute to others growth in this way?  Thank you and it would be appreciated.

I don't use the library, so I'm really in no hurry to fund it. Everything I could ever need I have found on the Internet in PDF form. I have like 8 GB of stuff on the topics that interest me. One day when I get an income, I will contribute just for being a member here on this forum. I have a few interviews lined up, so I hope it will be soon.

Ok, i gave about $30, so now we need an estimate of about 55 more dollars to get the library up and running. I gave what i had, but more will be coming in. Any help is much appreciated! This is my home school, so I might as well fund it!

How much money is required to keep it running? I need to know so i may help keep it going, and fund it.

If everyone who wants to use the library put in $5 a month as a donation via the community page there wouldn't be a problem. For that sort of donation, the library is exceptional value as the extent of the material available is amazing. It's a simple Paypal donation, takes no time to make it.

I can't sign in the the library at all, I've tried using email and username and it just keeps telling me my password or username is incorrect even though I literally just signed into the main page using the same info.

I still can't get in so I'm thinking it's down because of the lack of money to pay for the site that it is on. It's on a different site than esoteric is on. And if we don't get money for this site then esoteric will be going down, too.

Comment by Readlorey on February 15, 2016 at 6:35pm

I can't sign on to the library so it may be down. When esoteric runs out of money the library is one of the things that is the first to go. Only donations will bring it back.

That may be why you can't sign on Dan.

There may be 12,432 seekers, but that doesn't mean they all visit here on a routine basis. I don't come here as often as I once did, and I have donated twice. I personally cannot afford even 5.00 a month, yet I gave them 5 bucks about 2 weeks ago in hopes of helping them a little. I have been unemployed all of December, and started a new job January 5th. This place pays monthly, so that means I didn't see a check for January, and the Feb. check won't roll out until the end of the month, and then it will only be about 400 bucks and I will have to wait another whole month to get a few more morsels. I'm looking for a job that pays better, but this area pretty much shuts down during the winter months. Meanwhile I'm trying to keep a positive outlook that my bills will be met for this month. I'm sinking quickly here trying to figure out how to feed myself and my dog and then I keep seeing this message about donating. Ok, I gave 5 bucks which I took from my grocery money. LOL, I now have 35.00 left to my name to last me until the end of Feb. But hey, the library is open again, and people are once again happy. Life is great, ya know?

When life gets easier and I start pulling in a descent paycheck, I'll give more, but until then...I'm tapped out.

The library, as well as this site, depends on money...the library was down because there was no money to pay for the server space where it is stored. Donations from members made it possible for the library to be up again. yesssss...das ist gut.

The irony of the whole thing is that if each member, who can afford it of course, paid $5 or $10 dollars a month then the library would never be down....neither would EO disappear, and that could happen too if there is no money to pay for the website.

And there are so many...12,432 seekers.

This website, while free to members, costs money to keep going. I pay $10 a month, automatically so I don't miss it (and I can afford it) and that helps....but not enough people are making donations on a regular basis and that makes the library go bye-bye.

And I'm not an admin, I've just been here for so long I asked about it a long time ago. LOL
