Our mind is the most powerful non physical bridge we have that connects us to all the worlds within worlds. When it is in our control we are like gods with infinite power, yet still it is often out of control and so is very destructive to our well being. Sometimes we forget what our true potential is and create many conflicts between our material self and our inner spiritual. Thinking somehow that we can control our inner through our outer we continuously find that we are up against a brick wall of self doubt wishing things were somehow different. This invites further self judgments and recriminations opening the doorway for more of these thoughts to encroach and nest in our head and body blocking the flow of energy, and truly cramping our style.
We have been conditioned to judge everything as either good or bad and do not realize that there is no good or bad outside of time/ space as all things are necessary. And what we judge as bad is in reality a negative polarity just as good can be seen as a positive polarity. Both forces are necessary for creation and in time man will recognize what is a third force or polarity - that of balance.
It may be worthwhile to take a moment to realize that emotional energy is really our feelings that we project onto our thoughts. Our feelings are charged particles of varying vibratory rates comprising of molecules , electrons and the sub atomic. Our emotions are primarily ego based, and often founded on our need to be right which anchors us very deep into the realms of failure inhibiting any hope of rising higher in spiritual awareness. Our belief systems can be the main culprit in this regard as belief systems are amongst the most virulently charged emotional content.
The main secret for mindfulness or mind control - self induced - lies in controlling the vibratory rate of the thoughts as they flow through our stream of consciousness. Since this river of subatomic particles is rapidly flowing and gaining momentum with each particle clamoring for attention to be seen and heard, there can be no value in battling with our egos about 'good' or 'bad' thoughts or even becoming attached to any of them. Instead we can take a moment to silently focus on our breath as that will slow the vibrational rate and restore a pleasant feeling of harmony, that reminds us that many of the thoughts flowing through our minds are not ours, unless we own them.
Control of our mind and thoughts are vital on the path of self-mastery. With time and a little practice we teach the subconscious mind to screen the thoughts that do not serve us and to draw to our minds that which does and that which becomes the bridge to the higher dimensions of Self unity.
