God is a concept by which we measure our pain.
John Lennon

Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding.
Khalil Gibran

Much of your pain is the bitter potion by which the physician within you heals your sick self.
Khalil Gibran

Pain and foolishness lead to great bliss and complete knowledge, for Eternal Wisdom created nothing under the sun in vain.
Khalil Gibran

He who learns must suffer. And even in our sleep pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God.
Aeschylus

An excellent question Sky........the world is a thought consensus one created from the mental levels.. changing our minds changes our realities.  The problem for many is that they haven't understood what message/ teaching the pain carries and often tries to eliminate it instead of understanding it.

No doubt many of us have very real pain at all levels of our being.  The soul itself is perfect and incarnates into a physical body for a variety of reasons.  That physical body can be said to be the subconscious mind matrix holding the pattern of experiences, programs and frequencies  in place.  We each choose at some level - never the conscious level- to learn through a road mad designed with signposts of pain that will lead us back to perfection with new  found understanding and knowledge at  the cellular memory structure of the body matrix.

Often we deny that there is something to be gained from pain and so try to diminish or silence it through numbing it  with medication or cursing the universe for making us be the way we are.   The path of self mastery is in accepting things as they are and in so doing having them lose their power over us.  Only then can we see what has to be learned from our pain.   Many individuals for example have found that a severe illness has taught them the value of their lives.  Others have found that through their pain they have learned more about the human condition than would have been possible any other way.  Also for some once they befriend their pain and give it a voice they are astonished with the esoteric message that comes forth.   Any pain that goes unacknowledged will manifest in more severe ways to get our attention so the fastest way to learn from it is to own it and accept it.

One can always ask the questions 'why did I choose this and what can I learn from this...how can my soul gain  from having this......what do I need to know...'

'So true, most of ones trouble, distractions, probl ems and hurts are all in the mind and not really external at all. :) They are just self generated and selp perpetuated, when we give them energy and add emotion to them..'...Daniel Bailey
